Around 2:00 PM on Thursday, a motorhome overturned on the 98th kilometer of the M5 highway between Kecskemét and Kunszállás. According to preliminary reports, the Bulgarian driver fell asleep at the wheel, causing the vehicle to hit a guardrail and roll over.
Firefighters disconnected the vehicle's electrical system and removed a gas cylinder. The driver was hospitalized. The accident caused a traffic jam of about eight kilometers, with traffic restricted to one lane.
