In Bielefeld, a 30-year-old man without a driver's license led police on a chase. He ignored orders to stop after being spotted using a phone while driving and accelerated.

At the intersection of Horstheider Weg and Schuckertstrasse, the Audi driver collided with a Peugeot motorhome. Some reports say the motorhome was parked, others that it was moving. After the impact, the man jumped from the still-moving car; the Audi was stopped by a bridge railing.

The driver suffered serious injuries. A 71-year-old woman driving the motorhome and her 66-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries. The offender had previously lost his license and now faces charges of illegal racing and driving without a license. The intersection was closed.
