Motorhome fire in Amden: woman smelled smoke and pulled over

In early May, a group of foreign travelers with about 20 motorhomes sought temporary parking in the canton of St. Gallen. They were refused in Altstätten, and the site in Buchs was already occupied.

In 2025, Switzerland registered a record 110,368 motorhomes, according to BFS and ASTRA statistics. This has increased supply on the used market, where buyers are now more focused on condition, mileage, and service history.
