On August 1, the 2026 RV and camping season "Water Charm of Jiangsu·Free Drive" opened at the Taoxin Xiaodao campsite in Yangshan, Huishan District, Wuxi. The event gathered about 150 representatives from tourism departments, associations, and enterprises.
Routes and agreements
- A 7-day route around Taihu Lake (about 500 km) and several short 1–3 day routes through Wuxi, Changzhou, Suzhou, and Huzhou were presented.
- Cooperation agreements were signed with OTA platforms and automakers, as well as strategic agreements between companies and associations.
- Discounts on campsites and other benefits are available for participants of the first event.
Infrastructure and projects
Infrastructure for RVs will be developed, including 65 highway service stations, 45 campsites, and over 170 smart connection points. The "Peach Tree Cottage" project offers annual rental of plots with infrastructure and services.
