The 2026 Shijiazhuang motorhome and camping festival opened on the evening of 10 September on Hutuo River Art and Ecology Island in Zhengding County, Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province. The Hebei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Shijiazhuang municipal government organise the event under the theme "Camping in Shijiazhuang".
Main venue and satellite sites
The festival runs for four days with a main venue and satellite sites. The main venue is on Hutuo River Art and Ecology Island, and the satellite sites are in Lingshou, Luquan, Yuanshi, Pingshan and Zanhuang. Orienteering, folk performances and children's theatre take place at the same time.
The main venue displays tents, motorhomes and camping equipment, from lightweight gear to high-end models. The round-the-world travellers Zhang Xinyu and Liang Hong, known as the Lüxing couple, spoke about driving Chinese-made motorhomes through uninhabited areas. A concert with street dance, songs, acrobatics, a rock band and folk music followed the opening ceremony.
