A traveler using the handle Caiwei Huang drove from Altay to Beitun in Xinjiang to meet a friend he hadn't seen in five or six years. The friend had switched to a light truck camper. They had coffee together and later cycled to get lamb pilaf. Back at the campsite, the traveler saw a spectacular sunset that turned the sky red.

On August 17, in Hubei Province, a father and daughter were forced to camp in the wilderness after their motorhome broke down on the road. The vehicle suddenly stalled, leaving them stranded. They spent the night in a tent awaiting assistance. Details of the incident are still emerging.

From August 22 to 24, the Shanghai RV and Camping Expo will feature the Yuesheng T8, a camper built on the Ford Transit T8 chassis with a 2.3-liter diesel engine and 8-speed automatic transmission. It is classified as a blue-plate vehicle and can be driven with a standard C license. The interior includes two electrically adjustable seats with ventilation and heating, a 52-liter refrigerator, a 38.5-inch TV, and a fold-down bunk bed, along with a kitchen module with an induction cooktop.

On August 16, 2026, Weihang RV opened its direct store (Western Experience and Delivery Center) in Chengdu, located at No. 111 Checheng West 2nd Road, Longquanyi District, within the Western Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park. At the event, the Chengdu Weihang RV Owners Club was launched, and the new Jaguar MAX motorhome made its market debut. The official price for the 2025 Dongfeng Xinghai V9 hybrid camper has not been released, but based on available information, it is expected to fall between 200,000 and 250,000 yuan. The vehicle features a factory pop-up roof with two sleeping areas, suitable for camping, commuting, and business use. Confirmed colors include Pearl White and Obsidian Black, with Jade Green and Nebula Blue possibly available later.
