Huachen Xinghai V9 hybrid camper debuts at Wuhan RV Show

Xiaomi EV unveiled its new SkyNomad lineup in Beijing, based on the Kunlun architecture. The seven-seat N90 Max and five-seat N70 Max feature range-extender technology, up to 1,705 km combined range, and a cabin that converts into a sleeping area. Pre-sales have started, with prices from €32,000.

In Guizhou province, China, the number of tourists living in motorhomes at the Gonglongping National Forest Park in Qixingguan District, Bijie City, is increasing. Since July, the park has been filled with vehicles from Sichuan, Chongqing, and Zhejiang provinces, with some tourists staying from a few days to a month. The average summer temperature in the park is 23.2°C. Local authorities plan to develop motorhome infrastructure, including dedicated campsites, and are upgrading hotels. In December 2023, a plan to boost Guizhou's tourism industry was released, followed by a local plan in July 2024 aiming to create high-quality tourism destinations.

Chinese motorhome maker Kangpai (Rongcheng) deployed an 'Industry Brain' digital platform to streamline production. The system, launched in 2025, integrates data across the entire chain: from design to after-sales service. Motorhome delivery time dropped from 35 days, and raw material (galvanized steel) procurement costs fell via collective purchasing. The platform is open to small and medium enterprises in the sector.

In Lishui, Zhejiang Province, the 'cool economy' is thriving as mountain areas leverage their climate for summer tourism. In Qingyuan County, Baishanzu Township, a motorhome campsite attracts tourists from the Yangtze River Delta, with average summer temperatures of 22°C. In 2025, the campsite hosted over 30 motorhomes, and local farmer Liu Fanggen earns up to 1,000 yuan per day selling vegetables to visitors. In Songyang County, Anmin Township's 'short village stay' program boosted guesthouse occupancy by 30% in summer 2025. Lishui has launched the 'Live in Lishui' brand and issued China's first standard for eco-health tourism in rural areas.

Chery has unveiled the production version of the T1TP, a vehicle that can transform between a 7-seat SUV, a pickup, and a camper. The concept was shown at the 2025 Chery International User Conference. Switching between the three modes takes up to 10 minutes. The production model is expected to be named Tiggo V. It will feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain (details undisclosed).

Chinese caravan manufacturer Compaks RV reduced its delivery cycle from 35 to 9–10 days after adopting the Haier COSMOPlat industrial internet platform. The entire production process is now online and standardized, enabling real-time tracking of all stages. Exports account for over 90% of output, mainly to Australia. The company's revenue multiplied several times over five years, and Rongcheng's caravan output reached 15,000 units in 2025, representing 30% of China's total.
