South Gippsland Shire Council approved the subdivision of Sandy Point Holiday Park, allowing the construction of 11 dwellings on the site. Local business owner Paddy Annareddy expressed regret, noting the park provided affordable accommodation and attracted over 100 visitors on holiday weekends. The council stated the decision was based on planning law and objectors can seek review through VCAT. The park remains open for business.
