In Brief

Hochschule Gelsenkirchen develops a modular tiny house to address housing shortage. Assembly is simpler than an IKEA shelf, with virtually unlimited applications.

Westphalian University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Gelsenkirchen) is developing a modular, eco-friendly tiny house in response to housing shortages. The project was featured in the regional program WDR Lokalzeit Ruhr on July 31, 2026.
