Italian company Atlantis, which builds motorhomes with a monocoque body in fiberglass or carbon fiber, has unveiled the Atlantis Mobility + project — a custom motorhome for a client with severe motor disabilities. Based on the De Luxe 695, the vehicle features a widened door, an external powered ramp, a reinforced floor with an aluminum honeycomb structure, and a fully gas-free layout (induction hob, orthopedic motorized bed with anti-decubitus mattress). The bathroom is made of fiberglass with a flush-floor shower tray, a sink shaped to allow wheelchair access, and grab bars. The electrical system includes solar panels, two lithium batteries totaling 400 Ah, and a 3 kWh inverter. The company is open to similar modifications on slightly smaller models like the 645, but advises against the 595 version due to limited wheelchair maneuverability.
