Istanbul authorities remove illegally parked caravans from Maltepe coast

In Eğribük Bay, Silifke district (Mersin), local residents are complaining about the high number of caravans. Residents also highlight issues with garbage and wastewater due to lack of infrastructure and call for increased inspections. Suggestions include creating designated caravan areas and limiting parking durations.

The Turkish Directorate General of Coastal Safety has announced a tender for the purchase of one caravan trailer. Bids must be submitted via the EKAP electronic procurement system by June 25, 2026.
