Maltepe Municipality Removes Caravans from Coastline

The Beypazarı municipality has announced a ban on camping, tent pitching and caravan stays at the Karagöl recreation area until September 30, 2026. The ban is part of forest fire prevention measures adopted by the Bolu governorate, within whose borders the area lies. Picnicking is allowed only between 10:00 and 20:00.

A 65-year-old man, Yüksel Keskin, who lived alone in a caravan in Kepez district of Antalya, was found dead after a relative grew concerned when unable to reach him. Police and medical teams responded; the municipal coroner deemed the death suspicious, and the body was sent to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy. An investigation is ongoing.
