Police in Sant Antoni (Ibiza) checked 73 vehicles during the first month of the summer campaign, including 37 motorhomes, 20 caravans and 16 campers. They issued 19 fines: 15 for overnight stays on agricultural land and 4 for violating municipal rules. Two empty caravans and four campers were seized as abandoned. Three illegal tent camps in the forest area of sa-Talaya were also dismantled.
According to sources, fines for violating Law 5/2024 on controlling vehicle flow on Ibiza can reach 30,000 euros. One source describes the law as "tourist sustainability", another as "vehicle flow control".
