In Brittany, growing discontent among campervan owners is reported due to stricter parking rules along the coast. A TF1 report showed that in Quiberon, parking is limited to six hours, and in Lamballe-Armor, only from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. French couple Carinne and Grégory, who have traveled in a campervan for six years, called the measures dishonest and discriminatory.
The Comité de liaison du camping-car (CLC) is challenging some municipal decrees in court, arguing that banning parking or forcing paid areas is illegal. According to the association, mayors do not have the right to prohibit campervan parking. Meanwhile, some communes, such as Pléneuf-Val-André, are developing paid service areas.
