Earlier, according to local reports, the same coastal parking lot in Izmit had been overcrowded with caravans, leaving few spaces for regular cars. Residents complained that caravan owners occupied multiple spots, set up furniture, and used the lot for leisure. Nearby metro construction works worsened the parking shortage. Citizens demanded that authorities tighten enforcement and direct caravans to designated areas.
