The Didim Public Health Council, chaired by District Governor Mesut Çoban, has banned unauthorized caravan parking and tent camping in public areas. The ban takes effect on April 1, 2026, and applies to parks, beaches, forests and roadsides, excluding licensed campsites.
The decision was prompted by waste problems and safety risks, as well as a recent increase in such practices. Violators face fines, and their vehicles and tents will be removed by police and municipal services at the owners' expense.
