Coonawarra Bush Holiday Park in South Australia has added four new Tiny Houses, including two single-storey and two double-storey units. Perched on a hill, they offer views of vineyards and bushland. Each includes a queen bed, kitchenette, bathroom, air conditioning, and a private fire drum. The park also offers glamping tents, cabins, caravan sites, and camping.
Since January 2025, Miriam Hensel and Debora Wessling have been running the campsite in Oberwesel. They made a bold career change, relying on support from family and friends.
The city of Gunsan, South Korea, announced plans to build its first campsite for dog owners. The 8,400 sq m facility will be located in the Geumgangho tourist area. The project budget is 2 billion won (1 billion from national funds, 1 billion from city funds). The campsite will feature 13 motorhome pitches, a dog playground, restrooms and showers. A flea market for pet supplies is also planned. Construction is set to begin in September 2026, with opening expected in the first half of 2027.

A couple from Vancouver, after losing their son to a fentanyl overdose, opened an alcohol- and drug-free campground in Nova Scotia. The 8-acre site offers 10 RV hookups, tent sites, a playground, and walking trails. The campground opened last fall but was closed due to wildfires; this is its first full season.
The bistro at the Route du Vin campsite in Grevenmacher, closed for several weeks due to illness, may reopen on Friday. The Syndicat d'initiative has found an operator for the rest of the season — the owner of a restaurant in Mertert. Talks are also underway for the bistro at Kulturhuef, closed since December, but no reopening date has been set.
First Camp has opened a 17,000 sq m motorhome area in Älmhult. The site offers 42 pitches with self-check-in.
Gus Metcalfe, owner of 179 Route 9 West in Wilmington, is seeking conditional approval to expand his existing RV campground to allow tents and add a camp store. A cabin on the property would be renovated into a store selling firewood and gifts, and another cabin would become a bathroom for guests. The Wilmington Development Review Board held a hearing on Monday and has 45 days to issue a decision.
A public meeting will be held this evening in West Barns to discuss plans for an outdoor learning centre and a campervan site. The proposals, located near John Muir Country Park and East Links Family Park, have been with East Lothian Council since mid-May. The project would use an unused grass area and could accommodate up to 100 children aged up to 12 for activities like backwoods cooking and orienteering. Developers say the plans could create more than 25 jobs.
The commune of Molinet (Allier department) is building a multimodal tourist facility. It will include a 10-space motorhome parking area, a bicycle rental point, and an e-bike charging station. Opening is scheduled for spring 2026.
The Olderaan-La Croix family, operators of the Donnersberg campsite in Gerbach, have invested every euro into its renovation. For the new season, a multisport court for football and basketball with a small grandstand has been installed, along with a fountain park that is illuminated and accompanied by music on Saturdays.
Unity Beach holiday park in Somerset, about an hour's drive from Bristol, has undergone a major makeover ahead of the summer season. New facilities include a lido with cabanas, a trampoline park, and a dog agility park. Unity Holidays is offering 25% off all bookings and a £100 food and drink voucher for summer stays booked between July 3 and September 28, 2026. Prices start from £299 for a family of four.
The municipality of Santa María del Páramo (León) now targets an August opening for its new municipal campsite, after missing the initial June deadline due to delays in securing permanent electricity supply. The motorhome area could be finished by late July, but opening hinges on completing electrical installations. The campsite will feature 48 motorhome pitches, a tent area, toilets, showers, and a pool (likely to open later). Access and payments will be managed via a digital system, allowing 24/7 entry.
Yongin Natural Recreation Forest, located in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, charges an adult admission fee of 2,000 won. The park features forest trails, streams, a lawn, and accommodation including cabins and caravans (4 caravans). Zip-line and eco-adventure facilities are currently suspended since January 2024 due to no new operator.
The municipality of Bagnasco (Piedmont) has awarded a contract to install a video surveillance system and provide furnishings for the new equipped motorhome stopover in the Case Sparse Centasco area. The cost of the work is €4,239.50, which allowed the administration to bypass mandatory public procurement procedures. Total investment in the creation of the stopover reached €82,000, of which €57,000 came from the Piedmont region and €25,000 from the municipal budget.
The Messan natural motorhome area in Rouans (Loire-Atlantique) has received the Premium Green 2026 label from the Camping-Car Park network. The distinction recognises the quality of welcome and facilities offered to motorhome travellers.
The Mancomunidad association of town halls of the Costa del Sol-Axarquía has, for the first time, compiled and digitised a list of over 20 camping and motorhome sites in the eastern part of Malaga province. The list includes locations in Vélez-Málaga, Torrox, Nerja, Rincón de la Victoria, and inland towns. The information has been added to the official Axarquía tourism website, distinguishing between campsites and overnight parking areas for motorhomes. Authorities hope this will reduce tourism seasonality and boost economic activity in rural areas.
The Dorotheenpark premium campsite in Damp, Schleswig-Holstein, has opened on an 80,000 sq m site. It offers 210 motorhome pitches, some with Baltic Sea views. Prices range from €20 off-season to €99+ for a premium-plus pitch with private bathroom. The year-round site includes a fitness room, sauna, and a restaurant serving regional game and produce.
In Kamisu, Ibaraki Prefecture, operator Tōken runs two RV parks: RV Park Water Garden Resort Camp & Marina and the newly opened (May) RV Park Hikkawa Beach. The latter features a 20×10 m camping pitch, the largest in the chain. All pitches have 20 A electricity; showers and toilets are available. Rates range from ¥2,200 to ¥6,600 per night plus ¥550 cleaning fee.
Fritz Berger, a camping equipment retailer, will lease space in the former Hellweg DIY store in Werl. The store, with about 1,000 square meters of sales area, is planned to open for the 2027 season. It will fill a gap between Berger's existing stores in Witten and Paderborn, each 45–60 minutes away. The store will employ 6–8 staff and stock camping furniture, awnings, household and outdoor items, technology, gas supplies, and vehicle accessories.
Auto & Motor Experte GmbH will start operations on March 2 in Schortens. Owner Torsten Engler invites to an open house on February 28. The workshop employs two masters, two aspiring masters, a journeyman and a body builder. It features a 6-ton lift for motorhomes, a safety system calibration system and EV repair capability. Dekra inspection is available daily.
