Nissan unveils fully equipped Space Camper NB-COOLs

Nissan Peeds Field Craft, a direct Nissan dealer in Tokyo, has introduced the Space Camper NB-COOLs based on the Nissan Caravan. The camper van, sized like a minivan (4695×1740×2100 mm), comes standard with a built-in air conditioner, microwave, 18-liter refrigerator, three heated lithium batteries, two 100W solar panels, a 2000W inverter, a Webasto FF heater, and a 15.6-inch monitor with navigation. Powertrain options include gasoline, diesel, and part-time 4WD diesel.

Maxus V90 Traveler 10th Anniversary Edition Debuts at Shanghai RV Show

At the 27th Shanghai RV & Camping Expo held August 22-24 at the Shanghai Automobile Exhibition Center, Maxus unveiled the Traveler V90 10th Anniversary Edition. The model features a 2.0L turbo diesel engine with 375 N·m peak torque, a French Punch 6AT gearbox, a 48V electrical system with 10 kWh battery and 4 kW inverter, and a 150L fresh water tank. Interior uses E0-grade eco-friendly panels with formaldehyde levels 40% below national standards.

Woman spends €30,000 converting van into motorhome after divorce

After her divorce, Eva sold everything and converted a 2016 Chevrolet Express 3500 van into a motorhome named Betti for about €30,500. With a friend's help, she completed the main work in six weekends, including insulation, wiring, and a cab-to-living-area door. The total budget, including the van, reached around $35,000. The motorhome features 400W solar panels, two Jackery batteries, a kitchen with 68 liters of water, a fridge, Webasto heating, and a dry toilet.

Fully equipped camper Brillante based on Nissan Caravan unveiled at Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026

At the Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026, Nissan Peas Field Craft presented the Brillante camper conversion based on the Nissan Caravan Super Long. It features a 100V household air conditioner, Webasto heater, large roof vent, and a multi-purpose room with shower and optional portable toilet. The sleeping area measures 1500×1830 mm, formed by folding the sofa and opposite seat. Interior height is 2400 mm.

Route Six turns small Daihatsu van into two-story camper

At the Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026, Route Six unveiled the Conffy II POP, a converted Daihatsu Atrai with a pop-up roof that adds two sleeping berths. The standard Conffy seats four passengers but only two can sleep; the pop-up section solves this. The camper features a 200 Ah lithium iron phosphate battery, 12-volt air conditioning, Webasto heater, 1000-watt inverter, and external power hookup. Three interior variants are available; the show model is the Conffy II with pop-up roof.

Fully equipped light camper for seniors draws attention at Tokyo Camper Show 2026

On July 11–12, 2026, the Tokyo Camper Show 2026 was held at Tokyo Big Sight, featuring a record 100 companies and 238 vehicles. Route Six from Mito presented the CONFFY model based on the Daihatsu Atrai/Hijet Cargo, featuring triple ceiling insulation, door and floor insulation, a built-in Webasto FF heater, and a 12V air conditioner. Power is supplied by a lithium-ion battery and a roof-mounted solar panel (optionally replaceable with a pop-up roof for 990,000 yen). Three layouts are available: CONFFY 1 (4-section mattress, outdoor table), CONFFY 2 (sink, table with adjustable poles), and CONFFY 3 (6-section mattress, largest sleeping area). Prices for the Atrai RS Turbo base: CONFFY 1 — 4,213,000 yen (2WD) / 4,367,000 yen (4WD), CONFFY 2/3 — 4,488,000 yen (2WD) / 4,642,000 yen (4WD). The show model CONFFY 2 POP with options was priced at 5,483,500 yen.

Daihatsu Atrai converted into a camper for four, but 'second floor' is optional

Japanese company Route Six presented the Conffy II POP camper based on the Daihatsu Atrai at the Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026. The standard version has two sleeping berths, and a pop-up roof adds two more. The vehicle is equipped with a 200 Ah lithium iron phosphate battery, a 12V air conditioner, a Webasto fuel heater, and a 1000 W inverter. Three interior layouts are offered: Conffy I with a low bed and a removable table, Conffy II with facing seats and a sink, and Conffy III with a wide bed and a six-section mattress. The pop-up roof and additional options significantly increase the price.

Vanspeed has converted a 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 with 2,700 miles into a ready-to-go camper. Features include roof solar panels, Starlink satellite internet, 400 Ah lithium battery, Webasto diesel heater, Dometic air conditioning, kitchen with sink and stove, sleeping area with storage. Exterior upgrades include matte green vinyl wrap, Baja bumper, Dakar-style roof rack, winch, 17-inch Black Rhino wheels with BFGoodrich tires. The vehicle is listed for sale in Texas with a Carfax report noting minor damage to the rear and left side in October 2024.

Chausson 640 Ultimate Line: a consolidated proposal

Chausson, part of the Trigano Group, has unveiled the 640 Ultimate Line, a semi-integrated motorhome on a Fiat Ducato chassis measuring 696 cm. Designed primarily for couples, it features a maxi living area, an electric drop-down bed (190×160 cm), a pass-through bathroom, and a rear garage with asymmetric doors. Standard equipment includes cab air conditioning, ADAS safety systems, Connect pack, Webasto diesel heating, and all-season tires.

Isuzu Elf 2026: new alcove motorhome with 5.2L diesel and all-wheel drive

A new Isuzu Elf 2026 alcove motorhome has been listed for sale in Yekaterinburg. It features a 5.2L diesel engine (190 hp), automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. Equipment includes a Midea ducted air conditioner, Webasto diesel heater, Haier 8 kg washer-dryer, six-camera surveillance system, and a keypad door lock. The price in Blagoveshchensk is about 15.4 million rubles including VAT and recycling fee.

Tour of Bruno and Suzanne's Irisbus camper conversion

At the Club des Motorhomes Poids Lourds de France rally in Moréac in spring 2026, a camper conversion based on an Irisbus Récréo bus was showcased. The former school bus, a 2012 Iveco Tector with 175,000 km, was converted by Bruno and Suzanne over seven months. The 12-meter motorhome features seven solar panels, four lithium batteries (24V, 560 Ah), 600 L fresh water and 400 L grey water tanks, two Webasto heaters, a kitchen with dishwasher, and a washing machine in the garage. Polish company Wavecamper has introduced a conversion of the Renault Trafic L2H1 van into a camper. The vehicle height is 2 meters, avoiding size restrictions. It features two sleeping berths (up to four), a kitchen module with shower, 42-liter refrigerator, and Webasto heating. Power is supplied by solar panels up to 180 W. A sliding seat system transforms the interior from a 4-seat sleeping area into a 6-seat transport or cargo space up to 3 meters long. The Camper Flex Long conversion holds European second-stage homologation. Base conversion cost is €34,250 (excluding VAT).

Westfalia launches Kipling 2026 camper van based on Ford Transit Custom

German manufacturer Westfalia has introduced the Kipling 2026 camper van built on the Ford Transit/Tourneo Custom platform. It is offered with 2.0 EcoBlue diesel engines producing 136 or 170 hp, with manual or automatic transmission, and optional all-wheel drive for €4,400. Standard features include a pop-up roof with a double bed, fixed toilet, kitchen, outdoor shower, Webasto heating, and 50-litre fresh and grey water tanks. Prices start at €68,190, roughly €30,000 less than comparable Mercedes Marco Polo models.

Benimar Tessoro 481: Ford-based motorhome with competitive pricing

Benimar has introduced the Tessoro 481, a compact motorhome built on the Ford Transit platform. At 5.99 meters, it offers maneuverability and efficient interior layout. The standard version features a 130 hp turbodiesel engine with a manual gearbox, with a 165 hp automatic option available. Interior includes a two-burner kitchen, 150-liter fridge, two sleeping areas, shower, and Webasto heating. Priced around $60,000, it competes with models like Chausson 640 and Challenger 240.

Spanish manufacturer Benimar offers the Tessoro 481 as the most affordable new motorhome on the Spanish market. Prices start at €61,000 and can reach €70,000 with optional extras. The motorhome is built on a Ford Transit Euro 6 chassis with a 130 hp diesel engine and 6-speed manual transmission. Inside, it features a compact 5.99 m layout with sleeping for four, a kitchen, shower, and Webasto diesel heating. The model reflects a broader price increase in the sector: a decade ago new motorhomes cost around €40,000, while today the entry point is €60,000.

Japan unveils home-style camper based on Toyota Hiace

Japanese company Car Interior Takahashi from Nagano has introduced the Relax Wagon KAKUKAKU camper based on the Toyota Hiace. The interior is designed like a traditional apartment: a U-shaped dining area converts into a bed, and it includes air conditioning, a Webasto heater, a sink, and a refrigerator. The price has not been announced, and sales are planned only in Japan.
