The author, who has owned motorhomes nearly seven metres long, reviewed the Weinsberg CaraBus 600 DQ Edition FIRE camper, which measures 5.99 metres. The model is built on a 3.5-tonne Fiat Ducato with a 2.2-litre 140 hp diesel engine and a six-speed manual gearbox. Dimensions are 2.05 metres wide and 2.82 metres high. Inside, there is a rear transverse bed (194 x 152/140 cm) and a front elevating bed (176 x 130 cm), a bathroom with a rotating Thetford cassette toilet, washbasin and shower, and a kitchen with two burners, a sink and a 95-litre compressor fridge with a 12.8-litre freezer. Fresh water tank capacity is 102 litres, grey water 90 litres. The manufacturer homologates up to five sleeping places, but for a family of four the two main beds are the logical choice. There are four homologated travel seats and ISOFIX for two child seats. The running order mass is 2,880 kg, maximum authorised weight 3,500 kg, and standard payload up to 115 kg.

Polish company Tomplan, which has produced transport and recreational products for over 25 years, has focused on trailer caravans for the past eleven years and now sells them across Europe. All models — Mini Tommy, Tommy BD and Tommy — have a maximum permissible weight of 750 kg. The Mini Tommy is available in a basic version and a version with a kitchen; the Tommy BD and Tommy feature sleeping areas, a kitchen with a two-burner hob, a fridge and a full bathroom with shower and Thetford cassette toilet. Standard equipment includes a 32-litre fresh water tank, waste water system, battery, 230V and 12V installations, LED lighting and USB ports; heating is optional. Payload depends on the specific mass of the caravan, limiting how much luggage can be added.

American startup Thrivans from Utah has presented its debut motorhome project based on the Ram ProMaster. The vehicle is equipped with 400W solar panels, two 300 Ah batteries, a full bathroom with shower and Thetford toilet, and a bed measuring 183 by 167 cm. The kitchen area includes an Isotherm refrigerator, water filter, and space for a portable induction cooktop. The company also offers instructions for self-building camper vans.

The Great Wall Poer 2023 motorhome has been introduced in Russia, featuring a 2.0-liter diesel engine (163 hp), automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. It includes 560 Ah lithium batteries, 400 W solar panels, a 3000 W inverter, Dometic air conditioning, Webasto heating and water heater, a 152-liter refrigerator, and a Thetford toilet. The price for a used unit is 5,500,000 rubles.

Thetford has unveiled four new 12V compressor refrigerators for campers and caravans, including compact TR1050 and TR1065 and counter-height T1080 and T1088 models.

Australian company Peachwood Co. from Melbourne has unveiled a camper van based on an AWD Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a 144-inch wheelbase and low roof. The vehicle features a fiberglass pop-top roof, a tall caravan-style door replacing the sliding door, awning windows, and a vented propane canister box. Inside, the open layout includes swivel seats, a kitchen with a dual-burner stove and Dometic sink, a Thetford fridge, an east-west bed, and a garage under the bed. The electrical system includes a 314 Ah battery bank and a 2,000 W inverter, plus a water heater and two water tanks.

A 2023 FRANKIA YUCON 6,0GD 4×4 motorhome with low mileage and full equipment is offered in Moscow. The 6-meter model sleeps two.

A Kailen Binwei C-class double-expand motorhome, first registered in September 2019, is listed for sale. It has 39,000 km on the odometer, one owner, and non-commercial use. The vehicle is powered by an F1C 3.0T diesel engine with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and meets China V emission standards. Features include a 600 Ah lithium battery, 800 W solar panels, 3000 W inverter, 220 L fresh water tank, 152 L Thetford refrigerator, air conditioning, separate toilet with electric macerator, outdoor stove, and awning. Sjoerd Kuipers installs a Clesana toilet in a Hymer B680, using an L-adapter to connect to the original Thetford position without cutting. The power management system with a 4 Ah LFP battery charges via existing wiring and provides backup power, allowing the toilet to operate even when the house battery is empty. The installation involves removing the old toilet and connecting the new system.

A 2020 Juwei Ford New Era small-overcab motorhome, first registered in September 2020, has been listed for sale in China. It has 68,000 km on the odometer, three ownership transfers, and is classified as non-commercial. The vehicle is powered by a 2.2-liter diesel engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox, meets China VI emission standards, and seats six. Dimensions are 5985×2285×2750 mm. At the Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf (Aug 28–Sep 6), Ahorn Camp will show the updated T 590, a 5.99 m partially integrated motorhome based on the new Renault Master. Base price is €59,900. Features include an L-shaped seating group, French double bed, separate shower cubicle, Thetford absorption fridge (89 l), and a new CBE control panel. Options include an electrically operated drop-down bed for €1,790 and Isofix child seat anchors for €390.

The 2026 27North Winston is built on a 170-inch-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 XD AWD cutaway chassis and measures approximately 24 feet long, 7 feet 2 inches wide, and 10 feet 1 inch tall. It offers three floor plans: 27A with a fixed queen bed, 27B with a convertible dinette, and 27C with twin beds. Standard equipment includes a 10-kWh lithium battery bank, a 3,600-watt inverter, a 1,000-watt solar package, a 48-volt EcoFlow system, a Velit air conditioner, a Truma Combi diesel heater, a full shower, and a Thetford toilet. The MSRP is $249,500.

Thetford Town Youth FC in Suffolk incurred thousands of pounds in damages after 20 traveller caravans broke into their pitches using an angle grinder on July 3. The group drove over the playing fields, leaving behind rubbish such as a car seat, cans, and dirty nappies. The club had to fill five trailers of waste and lost £2,000 worth of grass seed and fertilizer. Norfolk Police were contacted.

Carado has introduced the T335 Edition27, a semi-integrated motorhome with a non-standard layout. Instead of a rear bedroom, it features a large bathroom with wardrobe and garage access, a convertible lounge in the middle, and an electric drop-down bed that lowers to seat cushion height. The model includes a gas kitchen with a round sink and optional Thetford oven, plus modular storage in the rear garage. Exterior color is Moondust Silver with a Ford Trail grille.

Carado has introduced a new special edition camper van, the CV595 X-Edition, based on the VW Crafter 4Motion. It features a 163 hp diesel engine, eight-speed automatic transmission, and rear axle differential lock. The key upgrade is a custom fiberglass (GFK) roof, increasing interior headroom to 1.98 m. Inside, there is a transverse double bed up to 2 m long, separate wet room with Thetford cassette toilet, and a winter package with heated tanks. The camper is 5.99 m long, making it suitable for daily use.

Encore RV has introduced the ROG 12RK‑FB, a compact travel trailer with a fold-out bathroom module integrated into the drawbar. The aluminum module deploys in seconds, creating a 2.1 m tall space with a shower, Thetford cassette toilet, lighting, and heating from the main 18,000 BTU system. It includes a 163 L water tank and an instant water heater. When folded, the module doubles as a cargo platform for bikes. Price starts at $34,495 (€29,885).

Slovenian manufacturer Sun Living, a subsidiary of Adria, has unveiled a special 20ED series to mark its 20th anniversary. The lineup includes three motorhomes (C, S, A series) on Ford chassis and one campervan V 65GX on Fiat chassis. Models feature exclusive exterior colors, graphics, and upgraded equipment such as a digital dashboard, Truma diesel heater, and Thetford refrigerators. Prices start at €64,500 for motorhomes and €63,500 for the campervan.

Mary Pouliot, former executive vice president at Thetford, has been appointed president of The RV Factory and its Luxe Fifth Wheels brand, as announced via a Facebook post. Pouliot brings over two decades of experience in the RV industry from the vendor side.

A Chinese motorhome on a Maxus V100 chassis with slide-out walls, previously typical for American models, has been introduced in Russia. The 5.99 m vehicle features a 2.0 L diesel engine (147 hp) and automatic transmission, requiring a category 'C' license. Equipment includes a 7.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, 400 W solar panels, diesel heating, air conditioning, a 142 L Thetford refrigerator, and six berths. The price in Moscow is about 5.5 million rubles turnkey, lower than European and American counterparts with similar features.

US manufacturer Encore RV from Elkhart, Indiana, presented the 2026 ROG 12RK-FB caravan at Overland Expo West in Arizona. The 12-foot model features a pop-up bathroom mounted on the drawbar, including a shower and Thetford cassette toilet, preserving interior living space. Construction includes an aluminum chassis, composite panels, and a one-piece fiberglass roof.
