Giottiline has unveiled the Siena 340, a profile motorhome on a Stellantis chassis measuring 5.99 m long and 2.32 m wide. Its rear features a U-shaped lounge with a central table, a layout typical of the British market. The model offers four berths and four travel seats, swivel cab seats, a washroom with a Vario pivoting shower wall, and a kitchen with a gas locker for two large bottles. Pricing starts at €63,800. Giottiline sold nearly 500 units in France last year.

German publication Promobil has published an overview of five narrow semi-integrated motorhomes (TI vans) for couples. The Giottiline CX 64 and CX 69, Dethleffs Just Van T5, Weinsberg Pepper 580 MEG, Etrusco V 6.8 SCF and Knaus Van TI Plus measure between 2.14 and 2.20 m in width, 6.38 to 7.47 m in length, and have a gross vehicle weight of 3.5 t. Prices: Giottiline from 58,700 euros, Dethleffs 64,999 euros, Weinsberg from 66,990 euros, Etrusco from 59,499 euros, Knaus from 89,900 euros. They are based on Fiat Ducato, Ford Transit or VW Crafter. The Knaus Van TI Plus gets a new interior and swivel bathroom for the 2027 season.

From 1 to 3 October, Caravan Center Ljubljana will hold its traditional autumn show, featuring the first presentation of Italian GiottiLine motorhomes. The lineup includes Siena and Toscan models from 6 to 7.4 metres long, plus two alcove motorhomes with up to six berths. Members receive a 5% discount on motorhome or caravan rental for a minimum of 5 days. Opening hours: 1–2 October 8:30–18:00, 3 October 8:30–14:00.

From 12 to 20 September, Fiere di Parma will host the 17th Salone del Camper. More than 300 exhibitors and around 600 motorhomes and caravans are expected.

The promobil editorial team selected seven notable exhibits from Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf. Among them are the new Laika Kreos integral motorhome based on the Mercedes Sprinter with design by Giorgetto Giugiaro (from €169,990), the electric camper Eifelland Relax on the Nissan Interstar-e with a real-world range of about 300 km (approx. €90,000), and the Giottiline Siena 340 low-profile motorhome with a drop-down bed (from €62,000). Also highlighted are the Dethleffs Graneo A 6823-2 on a Mercedes Sprinter 519 CDI (from €169,999), the Offtrack Verge with a distinctive design (from €180,000), and the Westfalia Columbus Liner with an innovative roof concept.

From September 12-20, 2026, Parma hosts Salone del Camper. Tuscany will be a major exhibitor, showcasing new campers and routes, including Puccini-themed tours.

Buying a new motorhome in 2026 will be expensive, but a few models remain under €65,000. The cheapest is the Bürstner Papillon PC 6.0 at €56,590 (including taxes), followed by the GiottiLine GiottiVan 60 Be Young (from €55,950 excluding BPM) and the Citroën Holidays (from €64,100). All three have distinct features: the Papillon offers basic equipment and a fold-away bathroom, the GiottiVan has four berths and a diesel engine, and the Holidays is compact with an optional Max pack. From 2026, Dutch motorhome tax rates will rise, increasing annual costs.

In the first quarter of 2026, Tuscan motorhome exports rose by 5.5% to €252 million, signaling a recovery after a weak 2025. Growth was seen in Germany (+€20.7 million) and the Czech Republic (+€2.6 million), while shipments to the UK fell by €12.4 million. In Italy, 4,048 new motorhomes were registered in the first four months (+14.7%), while caravan sales declined by 1.2% to 169 units. In 2025, the Italian market grew by 10.5% (nearly 8,000 registrations), but Tuscan manufacturers, including Laika, Trigano, and GiottiLine, suffered from a 10.9% drop in exports.

Pricing has not been announced. The interior features two front seats, a toilet room with a pivoting wall, a wardrobe, a 140-litre compressor fridge and a two-burner gas hob. At the rear, a large U-shaped lounge converts into a double bed and includes two certified car seats. An electrically lowering ceiling bed is also available. A removable front table is standard, with an optional swivel TV mount. The storage compartment is located under the rear bench. Optional packages include Sport, Privilège and Première Edition.

Italian manufacturer GiottiLine (part of Rapido Group) unveiled the compact CX69 motorhome on a Stellantis chassis. Length 6.99 m, width 2.15 m, height 2.88 m. Available in Sport, Privilège and Première Edition packages.

Italian brand Giottiline, part of the Rapido Group, has introduced two new compact motorhome models: CX 64 and CX 69. Both are 2.15 m wide, 15–20 cm narrower than standard semi-integrated models. The 6.45 m CX 64 features a lounge with two longitudinal sofas, an electrically lowering bed (1.82 m), and a large rear bathroom. The 6.99 m CX 69 offers a queen-size bed, a combined bathroom, and a compact kitchen. Prices start at €58,700.

Italian manufacturer Giottiline has introduced the second model of its 'Be Young' special edition, the Giottivan 54 TY. Based on the Citroën Jumper or Peugeot Boxer, the 5.41-metre camper van comes with a Truma Combi gas heater, compressor fridge, awning, and Easy Clean upholstery. The base price starts at €46,800.

Giottiline has introduced the Toscan 69 XF (2027), a partially integrated motorhome measuring 6.99 m in length and 2.32 m in width. Instead of traditional rear beds, it features a spacious lounge area with two longitudinal sofas and a full-width bathroom. Sleeping arrangements include a drop-down bed (145/125 x 190 cm) and a convertible seating area (153/105 x 200 cm). The model is aimed at couples and long-term travelers, but is not suitable for those requiring a fixed rear bed.

Mountaineer Hervé Barmasse has started the Endurance Italia expedition, combining mountaineering, cycling and trail running. The route covers over 6,000 km with 90,000 meters of elevation gain in 30 days. A Giottiline Toscan 74 NF motorhome serves as the mobile base, provided by the Italian manufacturer. The project started from Cala Gonone (Sardinia) and will end in Trieste.

The 382nd issue of Le Monde du Camping-Car is now available. It features a ranking of the best motorhome service areas in France, based on user ratings per department. A special dossier covers premium motorhomes — both A-class and profile models — highlighting their finish, equipment, chassis, and manufacturing. The issue also includes a travel report from Morocco, a road test of the Giottiline profile model, a solar panel buying guide, and itineraries in Finistère and western Ireland.

GiottiLine has launched the GiottiVan 60 Be Young series, a camper van under six meters long starting at €49,900. The model features a full bathroom with shower, sleeping accommodations for four, and a base 120 hp diesel engine, with an optional 140 hp powerplant available at extra cost.

The market offers compact semi-integrated motorhomes (slim) that combine the maneuverability of a camper van with the insulation and space of a full-size motorhome. Habitability has significantly improved over the past two years. These models are 15–25 cm narrower than standard profiled motorhomes, but lengths vary to accommodate sleeping areas (double, twin beds), transformable bathrooms, and pass-through garages. Five models are listed: Autostar Performance P600 (with a large living area and drop-down bed), Chausson S514 Sport Line (with a Butterfly bed and variable bathroom), Hobby Optima Ontour Edition V65 GQ (with a peninsula bed), Knaus Van TI Plus 650 MEG (on a VW Crafter chassis with twin beds), and Giottiline Giotticompact C66 Privilege (with a rotating bathroom wall).

The Italian manufacturer GiottiLine has introduced a limited edition of the Siena 397S profile motorhome based on the Peugeot Boxer chassis. The model features a 140 hp engine and an automatic transmission as standard, with a starting price of 69,900 euros. Standard equipment also includes a grey cab, reinforced rear suspension, a rearview camera, a 150 W solar panel, and an electric elevating bed.

The 5.99-meter model is priced at €58,500 and features a French bed measuring 136×196 cm, a separate wet room, and a 142-liter refrigerator. The payload is 697 kg, and the water tank capacity is 100 liters.
