Ocala police arrested a father and son, owners of Village RV, on fraud charges. The investigation began in August 2024 after a victim reported losses, later uncovering over two dozen victims, many elderly. Anthony Piccione, 65, and Drake Piccione, 31, allegedly misused customer funds for personal expenses like travel and luxury cars. They face charges of organized scheme to defraud exceeding $50,000 with enhanced penalties due to elderly victims.

A permanent tiny house community in Taney County, US, has seen high demand as rental prices increase. The first eight homes are occupied, with 300 people on the waiting list. A total of 70 homes are planned, with construction of 28 new units to begin soon. The development aims to become one of the largest permanent tiny house communities in the US, featuring social amenities and support services for residents.

A 71-year-old woman in Texas died from primary amebic meningoencephalitis caused by Naegleria fowleri after rinsing her nose with unboiled tap water from a motorhome tank. According to the CDC, infection occurred over four days before symptoms appeared, despite no recreational freshwater exposure. Although the amoeba was not detected in water samples from the motorhome or campsite, disinfectant levels were insufficient and turbidity exceeded standards. The case highlights risks of using tap water for nasal irrigation and the need for water quality maintenance in RVs.
