Volkswagen has introduced the California eHybrid with an electric range of 52 miles. The model is available in Beach, Coast, and Ocean trims, featuring a 1.5-liter petrol engine and two electric motors. DC fast charging from 10 to 80% takes 26 minutes. However, the transition between petrol and electric power can be clunky at low speeds, and the suspension is sensitive to road imperfections.
