Bears Rock tests 8cm sleeping mat for SUVs on three models

Authorities in Ikeda, Gifu Prefecture, approved a renovation plan for the municipal Ikeda Onsen. The project includes updating buildings, creating a car sleeping area, a sauna resort, and accessible baths. Opening is scheduled for August 2027.

The municipal Iko Yama Campground (Ichikai, Tochigi Prefecture) will open on July 1, 2025, with the season running until November 30. Operating since 1993, the site offers scenic tent plots (3 units, 5,000 yen per night) and forest plots (6 units, 3,000 yen per night), plus covered barbecue areas. Reservations must be made 7 days in advance via the website.

Daytona has launched two new camping products: the Maehiro Dome E solo tent and the Car Side Shelter. The tent, priced at ¥28,820 (approx. $200), features a large vestibule that can accommodate a Super Cub-class motorcycle, designed for touring campers.
