Preliminary design and engineering estimates for the City Beach RV park redevelopment in Sandpoint total $1.84 million, exceeding the available construction budget of $830,000 by more than $1 million. The plan, presented to the City Council on Sept. 2, includes 18 RV sites, two tent sites, restrooms and showers. Officials are exploring cost reductions or additional funding from the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, which provided about 95% of the project's funding.
