Construction company Nagai Construction has announced the opening of an unusual hotel, Trail Inn Tokachi Shimizu-cho Mikage, in Shimizu, Hokkaido, at the end of May. The facility is a five-story building made entirely of trailer homes and will operate without staff.

During normal times, the hotel is planned for use for sports training camps and business trips. In the event of natural disasters, it will serve as a shelter for evacuees.
