A new motorhome stopover has opened in Fort-Mahon-Plage on the Picardy coast, with 72 pitches and year-round operation from 2026. The rate is 15 euros per 24 hours, with water, electricity and waste disposal available. A similar project in Ault is estimated at around 230,000 euros; local authorities expect economic returns from the stopovers.
