Mendoza launches VanLife program for motorhomes

The Municipal Council of Tandil, Argentina, is drafting an ordinance regulating motorhomes and caravans. It prohibits overnight stays in public places from 10 PM to 8 AM and the dumping of gray and black water on streets, roadsides, storm drains, and water bodies.

From 1969 to 1980, Argentina produced the La Boyita amphibious camper, capable of traveling on land and water. Designed by engineer Jorge Berichit, it weighed 350 kg and could be equipped with a 5–15 hp outboard motor.

The City Council of El Bolsón (Argentina) will consider a new initiative allowing motorhome parking in the center for up to 4 hours, but banning overnight stays. Fines for violations will be increased.
