Planning agent Carta Developers has submitted an application to Wiltshire Council to convert a former military base in Cricklade into a gypsy and traveller site for an extended family. The 0.4-hectare site, currently classified as paddocks, already houses members of the Bane family. The proposal includes eight static and eight touring caravans with access to water, sewerage, and electricity. The application cites a pressing accommodation need, as the council's 2024 assessment identifies a requirement for up to 128 additional pitches.
