In summer 2026, the municipality of Sarpsborg established motorhome parking at two locations: near Tunevannet lake and at Sirkustomta in the city centre. Each area accommodates approximately 7–10 motorhomes, depending on vehicle size. Tunevannet offers scenic surroundings and a public toilet; Sirkustomta has no facilities but is centrally located near shops and restaurants. Both areas are signposted for motorhome parking. An existing motorhome parking area at Strandgata in Sandesund remains available. The municipality is continuing to assess temporary and permanent motorhome parking solutions, incorporating feedback from the current season.
