N.C.'s Tapia RV Park Proposal Delayed by Board Decision

A 1968 Chevrolet C20 CST Custom Camper pickup truck paired with a 1966 Del Rey Sky Lounge tri-level camper is being auctioned. The truck features a 396 V8 engine rated at 220 bhp and a 3-speed automatic transmission. The camper includes a sleeping area, kitchenette, toilet, and shower. The odometer shows 97,000 miles.

The Florida and Alabama RV Park and Campground Association (FRVCA) has presented a Best Park Award to Southern Aire RV Resort in Thonotonassa, Florida. The resort features 432 sites, a heated pool and spa, a lake, a dog park, and a common area. The award was given on April 30 at the association’s annual Outdoor Hospitality Convention & Expo in Orlando. Criteria include service quality, facility condition, and active association membership.

Dwell RV Resort & Casita Cabins in Topock, Arizona, has opened with 37 RV sites and four cabins, ahead of its official grand opening in June 2026. Located three minutes from the Colorado River, the resort offers a pool, fitness center, pickleball court, and RV storage.

The Dyrt, a campsite listing app built by the largest RVing and camping community in the U.S., has announced the 2026 Best Places to RV Presented by Grand Design RV. The list includes 10 locations selected based on user ratings for scenic beauty, amenities, cleanliness, and proximity to key destinations. Winners range from Dark Sky RV Park in Utah to Scenic Hills RV Park in Ohio.

Isaac Benjamin Clay Elliott, 29, of Marion County, Arkansas, was arrested for possessing a stolen camper he told police he was 'detailing'. The camper's owner, a Hawaii resident, valued it at $50,000. Elliott faces charges of theft by receiving, firearm possession by a felon, tampering with evidence, and drug offenses. Accomplice Sydney Lynn Martin is charged with hindering prosecution.

Meagan and Scott Edson moved from Illinois to Colorado in 2020 and temporarily settled in a 35 m² shed they bought for $12,000.
