Mendoza launches program to develop motorhome tourism

The Costa Sur complex in Posadas, Argentina, has reintroduced promotional packages for groups of 25 to 50 people, including barbecue shelters, soccer fields, and parking. In 2025, the site recorded about 3,000 motorhomes, averaging 15–16 units per day with stays of three nights. Most visitors come from Brazil. A new motorhome gathering is planned for September.

The Tourism Secretariat of Andalgalá presented the Rodantero Route, the first initiative in Catamarca province designed for travelers using motorhomes, RVs, or adapted vehicles. A dedicated service point with essential amenities and a comprehensive guide to local attractions have been established. The route combines natural landscapes, cultural circuits, history, and local gastronomy, aiming to boost regional economy by attracting this growing tourism segment. The third Rodantero Gathering in Andalgalá is scheduled for this year.

On Friday, the book 'A escala real' by Valentina Pereyra, published by Editorial Caravana, was presented at the Automobile Museum of Club Quilmes. The work tells the story of three young people from Tres Arroyos who traveled thousands of kilometers in a Citroneta to Solvang, California in 1971. The presentation was attended by two of the travelers, the mayor, and was declared of municipal interest.

In 2024, he released his first album 'Espinas', and now creates new songs on the road, using the vehicle as a home, studio, and stage.

Volunteer firefighters acquired a motorhome at an accessible price of 15 million pesos. The vehicle, previously owned by the group Canto 4, is equipped with 18 beds, a Starlink system, air conditioning, showers, and storage space, and will serve as a mobile incident command post.
