Ratings are based on reviews from Google Maps, Recreation.gov, and The Dyrt.

Samantha Houle, 32, from Wisconsin, turned a used ambulance into a fully equipped motorhome with a kitchen and solar panels. The project cost $25,994, including $7,000 for the vehicle. Houle works remotely as a customer success manager and travels across the US, staying at campgrounds and friends' homes. The conversion took several months and was done with her father.
