Several Swedish municipalities are taking steps to expand motorhome parking infrastructure.
Skillinge
In Skillinge, on the northeastern outskirts, a municipal 24-hour parking lot has opened, intended to relieve the harbour and centre. The facility is accessible for motorhomes. It was built in 2021 but its opening was delayed due to detailed plan issues.
Ängelholm
In Ängelholm, on the gravel parking lot in the Råbocka area, barriers were rearranged before the 2026 summer season to increase the number of motorhome spaces. Now 20 vehicles can park there.
Värnamo
The municipal council of Värnamo has approved a proposal from the technical committee to develop motorhome infrastructure. The authorities intend to stimulate private operators to create new parking sites, without doing it themselves. The decision comes amid growing motorhome tourism and complaints about unauthorised parking near recreational areas.
