Construction is under way at Glassyard Commons, an RV and tiny home village at 7200 2nd Ave SW in Highland Park/Southeast West Seattle. The 3.9-acre site on a Washington State Department of Transportation parcel is budgeted at $3.3 million and remains on schedule to open in mid-November 2026. The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) is developing and operating the project, which will provide up to 72 RV safe-parking spaces and 20 tiny homes for approximately 140 people. Crews are preparing the ground, laying paving, connecting water, power and sewer lines, and installing surface pads plus hygiene and restroom facilities. LIHI is coordinating with WSDOT and the Seattle Human Services Department, while Sound Foundations NW is building the 20 pre-built tiny homes.
