Three tested three-day routes for RV camping in summer 2026 have been published. The routes vary in difficulty and suit different traveler categories: beginners, families with children and elderly, and experienced drivers.
Routes
- From Shanghai — around Taihu Lake (3 days, 2 nights, return drive about 3 hours).
- From Chengdu — suburban route with water and no high altitude (low elevation, no altitude sickness).
- From Beijing — through grasslands and Ulan Butong (Zhangjiakou and Ulanbutong, about 3 hours to the park).
Before departure, it is recommended to check the water tank level and tire pressure. Each route includes specifics such as availability of supply stations.
