Elk City's Convention Center hosted 24 couples travelling Route 66 in 24 RVs as part of a 53-day guided tour from Chicago to Santa Monica, California. Wagon Masters Bob and Marcia Hanbury coordinated the stop, their third time bringing a group to the town. The visitors toured the museum complex and downtown murals. The Convention Center offers 430 parking spaces and 75 RV hookups for same-day and overnight guests.
