Retired couple shares final camper meal in Hokuriku

The British puppet series Thunderbirds will mark 60 years since its Japanese broadcast debut on September 30, 2026. To celebrate, camper specialist Direct Cars will showcase a prototype camper at the Yokohama Camping Car Show on September 26–27, 2026. Other plans include limited-edition plastic models, replica figures, a VR space featuring a giant 3D model of Thunderbird 3, and a special screening with a talk show on September 30 at Marunouchi Piccadilly in Tokyo.

The RV Park at Kamishizu Midori no Mura Park in Ogaki, Gifu Prefecture, has started full operations. A trailer for visitors has been installed, and 24-hour showers are available. The facility is designed for overnight stays in vehicles.

A Japanese camping instructor warns of the risk of falling trees and branches during summer and autumn. In 2023, a falling tree killed a woman at a campsite in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture. Campers are advised to inspect trees for fungi at the base, discolored or missing leaves, and cracked or peeling bark, and to stay at a distance of at least the tree's height.
