A Japanese couple who blog about vanlife reported that they have changed four campers in four years: a Toyota Vellfire, a Toyota HiAce, a Happy1 Premium and an Alletta due in September. Each replacement was prompted by specific issues: lack of space after getting a dog, no water supply and an inconvenient fold-out bed. The authors note that if they had been able to keep two vehicles and modify a carport canopy, they could have chosen a motorhome with a fixed roof from the start, avoiding intermediate models and financial losses.
