Norway named best mountain camping destination

A medical student at the University of Oslo lives in a motorhome on the Blindern campus to save on housing costs. He says it allows him to be closer to his studies and reduce expenses, though he admits it's not for everyone.

Iril Schau Johansen, appointed as head of business and society in Nord-Odal, moved into a camper and lives there. She is satisfied with her job and does not rule out returning to Voss politics.

In Kongsvinger, Norway, a proposal has been made to establish a dedicated summer parking area for motorhomes. Görgen Carlström suggests using the available space at Sentrum videregående skole during the summer months. Currently, the municipality has no designated motorhome parking spots.

Insurance company Tryg reports about 600 cases of vehicle damage caused by rodents over the past two years. Damage costs can reach 200,000 Norwegian kroner. Owners of motorhomes and caravans are advised to thoroughly clean their vehicles of food debris and inspect them regularly during winter.

Stein Larsen (73) and Synøve Lahr (70) are finishing their roles as hosts at Langeby Camping after nine years of 90-hour work weeks. They do not rule out returning next year as guests in their own motorhome.

At the University of South-Eastern Norway campus in Notodden, students have set up 12 tents, with some living in motorhomes and cars. This is due to a shortage of student housing. The tents are located near the woods, with a portable toilet nearby.
