MBC's 'Today N' Features Man's Recovery Through Truck Camper Travel

The August 27 episode of MBC's 'Today N' will showcase two South Korean couples who have traveled together in camper vans for over 20 years. The couples, who met in their youth, started camping at the suggestion of one family and now go on weekend trips across the country. The show will also feature them catching fish at a festival in Sacheon.

South Korean camper and motorhome manufacturer Sopung Camper (CEO Bok Jong-hoon) will present the universal transformable space platform B5 at the 2026 Jeonnam-Gwangju Future Industry Expo, held September 2-5 at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Gwangju. The platform features patented technologies for an expandable toilet and a convertible chair-bed structure, maximizing the use of limited interior space and adaptable to various vehicle models. The company plans to gradually expand its workforce, enhance technology, and strengthen patent protection, while also developing B2B channels and social media marketing.

Sussex Campervans has introduced a conversion kit for the all-electric Kia PV5 van, turning it into a compact camper with a pop-up roof. The Kingfisher model features a kitchen with a refrigerator, induction hob, and microwave, as well as a double bed. The range is 415 km on the WLTP cycle. The price is £68,995.

Hwaseong City announced the closure of the Hyangnam auto camping site effective October 1, citing declining profitability and plans to build a clubhouse and training grounds for the Hwaseong FC civic club. The decision has sparked over 70 complaints from residents, who accuse the administration of disregarding public opinion and dismantling a popular recreational facility that was named a top camping site for 2025.

The Bomnal Nongwon campsite in Cheongpyeong-myeon, Gapyeong County, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, spans about 5,000 pyeong (approx. 16,500 sq m) and sits directly on the Bukhangang River. Facilities include camping sites, a 50-car parking lot, restrooms, showers, and children's play areas. Open year-round, admission is free, but campsite usage fees vary by season and site size. Advance booking is required, especially on weekends and holidays.

The Waterwalker Festival took place in Chungju, South Korea, to commemorate the 81st anniversary of Korea's liberation. The event was held at the Mokgye Solbat Campground and the Jangjaneup water playground on the Namhan River. It was organized by Hidden Lab with support from the Chungju Culture and Tourism Foundation, Chungju Tourism Association, Canoeist, MyCanoe, and Outdoor Campus. Participants, mostly hobbyists, paddled distances of 3.3 km and 10 km. Campground fees range from 10,000 to 35,000 won depending on the zone, plus electricity charges.
