In May 2026, French couple Gaël and Lucie Anquetil from Sussargues launched the free app unBonSpot, which connects travelers in vans or motorhomes with farmers across France. The app offers more than 350 overnight spots on farms, as well as the opportunity to visit farms, buy products, and participate in activities. In the first weeks, the app was downloaded by over 5,000 travelers, with about 500 new users added daily.
The cost per night is 15 euros under the classic rate, or 5 euros plus 10 euros of purchases at the farm shop under the agritourism rate. The app offers one spot per location, unlike collective parking areas, and uses GPS navigation. The project was founded by Gaël Anquetil, who faced difficulties finding a place to sleep in his van. The France Passion network, offering free overnight stays at farms, already exists and differs with its "guest-host" model.
