Japan RV Association promotes certified parking areas for overnight car stays

Chiba TV has published recommendations for staying in vehicles during disasters. During the COVID-19 pandemic, authorities recommended 'dispersed evacuation' to avoid infection in shelters. Specialists note that the rules for such overnight stays differ from regular camping and suggest remembering the keyword 'ba-su-da-shi-de'.

An RV park has opened in Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture, adjacent to the Mansoen Aiueo no Mori satoyama park. It offers 6 parking spaces, 24-hour toilets, electricity (fee), water (free), and garbage disposal (fee). Rates start at 2,750 yen per night. The Yamashiro Onsen hot spring is a 5-minute walk away.

A camper van journey through Japan's Seto Inland Sea region highlights upgrades to the vehicle, including an AI dashcam, Wi-Fi smartphone holder, and LEGANCE armrests. The route covered Kagawa Prefecture's Kanonji and Mitoyo areas, with stops at Shonai Peninsula Auto Campground and Tomonoura Beach, known as 'Japan's Uyuni Salt Flat'. Rates start at 4,000 yen per night per vehicle. A restaurant serving local soba is located nearby. The park is open year-round, operates 24 hours, and camper rental is available. It is situated in Omachi, Nagano, with easy access to Azumino, Hakuba, and Matsumoto.

A couple traveling through Europe in a camper shared the benefits and rules of combining mountaineering with overnight stays in their vehicle.
