Croatian athletics coach Nikola Borić, together with his partner Zorana, sold their house and land on Papuk and moved into a motorhome. After 100 days on the road, he reported that their expenses had roughly halved, although spending on fuel and food had increased.
According to Borić, they never paid for camping; they met people who offered water, electricity, and a place to park. He also noted that the number of people living a vanlife-style lifestyle in the US has grown from under 2 million to over 3 million in a few years.
