Clive Attwater and his partner Sue have begun their second attempt to circumnavigate Australia in an electric campervan, after a 2021 attempt in a Nissan Leaf was thwarted by COVID-19. The route forms a figure-eight from Hobart through Victoria, South Australia, Alice Springs, Darwin, Western Australia, the Nullarbor, Townsville, and back down the east coast. The campervan is based on a Farizon SV van with an 84 kWh battery and a range of about 250 km at 3.3 tonnes. Attwater, founder of Electric Highway Tasmania, also plans to rent out five such vans under the Tasvanlife brand.
