More than 2 years and 4 months after the Noto Peninsula earthquake, the removal of 22 trailer houses in Shika Town, Ishikawa Prefecture, has started. These units were delivered in February 2024 by the Japan RV & Trailer House Association at the request of local authorities. Residents have moved to rebuilt homes or other temporary housing. This is the first demolition of temporary housing set up after the earthquake. The site will be used for public housing.
