RV rental in China is gaining traction: orders during the 2025 May Day holiday rose nearly 10% year-on-year, according to the platform 'RV Lifestyle'. Ctrip data shows a 9.05% increase in RV bookings in 2025, outpacing regular car rentals. The country has about 269,400 RVs, the highest in Asia, but still a tiny fraction of the total 3.66 billion vehicles. The government is backing the sector: in April 2025, the State Council included RV camping as a priority tourism segment, and the Ministry of Commerce urged regional support.
