Carstay and CarLife Japan, as part of the VAN SHELTER project, will provide two motorhomes to support victims of the Kumamoto earthquake that occurred on July 28. The vehicles, equipped with household air conditioners powered by large batteries even when the engine is off, will serve as mobile rest and sleeping areas for staff of Katariba, an NPO supporting children in the affected area. One motorhome will be transported from Tokyo on July 31, another from Fukuoka on August 2, with installation completed by August 2 and operation for about one month. This is the fourth such initiative since 2020 under a comprehensive partnership agreement.
