According to FNHPA, about 28 million French people will spend their summer holidays at campsites, accounting for 51% of all paid accommodation bookings from July to September. Demand for bare pitches (for tents, caravans, and motorhomes) rose 9.4% year-on-year, with nightly rates ranging from €15 to €80. FNHPA President Nicolas Dayot attributes the trend to value for money and French reluctance to travel abroad amid international uncertainty.
