White Township Supervisors on Wednesday afternoon approved sending a draft ordinance to Indiana County for review. The proposed Recreation Vehicle Camp Ground Ordinance would set rules for RV-park style communities. The township planning commission approved the draft at its 13 October meeting. The move responds to a recent increase in mobile home developments in the township linked to the Homer City Energy Campus project. Supervisors also approved sending the official Township Map Update to the county; the map ties into the comprehensive plan and includes a wishlist of projects. Both documents will undergo the same 45-day review process, including advertisement and a public hearing.
