The High Court of Ireland has scheduled hearings for next month on a case brought by the Department of Defence against caravans parked on its lands adjacent to the Curragh Racecourse in County Kildare. The department is seeking an injunction against trespass.
A lawyer for the department stated that two caravans owned by Nicole O'Brien (and, according to one source, her husband) are attracting other trespassers. Since the start of the year, "waves of trespassers" have been arriving. The court joined 28 other individuals who recently placed caravans to the case.
The department cited serious littering damage: cleanup in 2024 cost €185,000.
